A FIRST STEP TOWARDS THE AUTHOR'S LITERARY JOURNEY

A Ghostly Reign of Terror, In The Car

Should you wish to continue navigating this somewhat challenging and, possibly even, mentally perilous journey, please step inside, grab a seat, as your extremely fascinating, informational, educational, historical, intellectual and eye-opening journey will soon begin.

Apparently, Sacramento power brokers determined that Lonnie's first book, "A Ghostly Reign of Terror, In The Car", offered an existential "foe reel" threat to the status quo and law enforcement community.

Therefore, his book was hurriedly removed, without pause or delay (and, with all deliberate speed), from the shelves of Sacramento bookstores.

However, Lonnie's book was required reading at the California State University-Sacramento in Criminal Justice, Ethnic Studies and Minorities in Law Enforcement.   Imagine that!

A CONTINUATION OF THE AUTHOR'S LITERARY JOURNEY

Now, let's fast-forward and bring you up to speed, to Black America's 21st Century LIFE (Living In Fear Everyday).

Lonnie's current book, "A Foe Reel White Man's Nig******", is a riveting eye-opener that offers a scorching indictment against America's Criminal Just US system, while also unmasking and exposing many of America's deeply rooted fears and unconscionable sins of moral turpitude.

Although masterfully disguised and conveniently buried, those horrific acts against humanity have now been unearthed and exposed.

Capturing Life Through Words: The Writing Journey of 4 Reel Raw Truth

    Book Reviews

    Author, Marilyn Hill-Sutton

Author, Marilyn Hill-Sutton, who wrote one of America's best-selling genealogy books, "The Knight Family Legacy: One Family's Story", offered an extraordinary review of Lonnie's first book, when she penned: "I just finished reading "In The Car." Loved it. An autobiography with powerful insights into self and the ever-present system inherent to many; no matter what occupation or high status achieved. Great insights and truths that so many of us face on our way up the ladder.

I see myself in this book as I climbed the corporate ladder from files clerk to corporate executive during this same era. Like the author, God's hands guided me through some dark hours while I struggled to prove my worth as a female minority in a world filled with unforeseen obstacles and innate biases. "In The Car" provides a candid view of those systemic obstacles and biases.

This book provides valuable insights into the many challenges minorities often face as they set their sights on upward mobility regardless of their experience and/or levels of educational achievements. While "In The Car" setting takes place in our country's penal system, there is still something here for you. I love the truths. Thank God for His mercy and thanks to the author for sharing."

    Queen Asha Harris

Lonnie's current Book, "A Foe Reel White Man's Nig******" has received numerous extremely positive reviews; some of which are below: "Mr. Lonnie, it is quite apparent that you had personal meetings with God throughout your literary journey.  May He continue to strengthen, guide, bless and safeguard your pilgrimage throughout life's untold challenges and treacherous paths".    Mr. Lonnie, after reading your superbly written and historically documented literary work, in its entirety, I found it to be a treasured masterpiece.  It clearly represents the epitome of The Black holy Grail, that demands immediate reading by all Black families and all people of conscience!"

Book Review by Honorable Fred Harvey

The Honorable Fred Harvey, a retired California District Judge, civil rights activist and former United States naval officer and Korean War military veteran, graciously offered his personal sentiments along with his valued review:
"Mr. DeWitt's statement, "Racism is the bedrock of the American culture, where it has, literally, become normalized and accepted as apple pie," totally sums up the dysfunctional American society. And that observation personifies why civil rights activists in the U.S. will always be fighting on an uneven playing field which is mostly tilted up.  We all know that the problem blacks face in America is because they had the bad taste to be born with dark skin.  And any success they generally achieve will be in spite of, not because of, white racism.  And the neurotic white culture will always exploit the hell out of the black person until the black is emptied of his talents and then he will be discarded.
Much to the parallel of gays in America.  They will love to watch us sing and dance but will they take us to lunch?

The American white society is so paranoid that it views anything or anyone as different to be an inherent threat.  A black man threatens my sense of employment security, societal status, educational opportunities and most threatening of all, sexual prowess.   Which is why I have a divine right to shoot any black person on sight because their skin color tells me that they are going to harm me in some vague way.  Also it is an opportunity for me to vent all of my fears and anger on somebody who may have a scant ability to defend himself against me. Which is why if I am arrested for assault or murder I know that my sentence, if any, will be lenient because the judge and jury know that the black guy deserved whatever happened to him.

Finally, as a white man supportive of black rights I know that I become more despised than the [N-word] that I am defending because I am a turncoat against my own race. To illustrate:  In the years leading up to and including the 50s, when I was in the Navy, it was an unspoken rule to recruit black boys because the Navy needed officer servants, galley slaves and paint chippers.  A black commissioned officer was like a museum oddity to be stared at.  Because I spoke Spanish, I would translate for the Mexican sailors thus earning the soubriquet of "[N-word] lover" by the rednecks who were so ignorant that they could not get their racism right.

Anyhow, I am looking forward to reading Mr. DeWitt's literary masterpiece."
I have not yet had the privilege of reading Mr. DeWitt's book but I have read the extensive preface three times.  His command of the language is remarkable and it was reader friendly.  After digesting the message of the preface, which i assume reflects similar passages in his book, I am compelled to make the following observation.

Since ideas are powerful, the book has the possibility of being very dangerous in the same vein as were the books Allegory of the Cave, Das Kapital, Mein Kampf, Revolutionary Intercommunalism, The Theory of Evolution, all of which furthered specific ideas which led to social uprising and change.
I am looking forward to reading the book.

"Mr. DeWitt, your book arrived today and I immediately started reading it from the first printed page.  The cover is so inundated with symbolism that I had to study it for about 15 minutes to discover the whole meaning.  It is a brilliant cover."

"I have read up to the beginning of the first chapter and I have to prepare my brain to absorb the text following.  I just know that I am in for a terrific intellectual ride. I am really looking forward to being enlightened.  Your comment in the preface mentions the state personnel board, which is as corrupt as Corrections and any other department.  Every department of the state became corrupt under the Reagan administration.  There is no "civil" in civil service."
